TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — Taiwan's main international gateway transformed into a scene of jubilation Friday (April 25) as two of South Korea's most celebrated girl groups touched down to fervent welcome. ITZY and tripleS arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (桃園國際機場) amid throngs of enthusiastic fans ahead of their performances at the highly anticipated "K-FLOW3 CONCERT in TAIWAN" scheduled for the weekend.
ITZY member Yuna, sporting a white tank top that South Korean media outlets have highlighted in their coverage, particularly captivated the crowd as she graciously accepted fan letters at the terminal. Meanwhile, tripleS vocalists Lee Jiwoo and Kim Yooyeon made their own impression, with Lee addressing assembled journalists in Mandarin Chinese. The group's Taiwanese member Nien received an especially enthusiastic response as she waved enthusiastically to her compatriots gathered at the arrival hall.
The K-pop stars weren't the only South Korean celebrities to receive a warm Taiwanese welcome on Friday. Veteran actor Ha Jungwoo, arriving separately to promote his latest film "LOBBY" (喬王出任務), encountered approximately 20 dedicated supporters who had somehow determined his arrival time despite no official announcement. The acclaimed performer, visibly moved by the gesture, stopped for an unscheduled autograph session with fans before departing for promotional activities. ★
