TAOYUAN (TVBS News)—The Tourism Administration (觀光署) announced on Friday (Feb. 7) that it will launch four exclusive Taiwan Tour Bus (台灣觀光巴士) packages, offering daily tours during the Taiwan Lantern Festival (台灣燈會).
The festival will begin Wednesday in Taoyuan and continue until Feb. 23, showcasing over 300 lanterns highlighting international aspects, the latest technology, and sustainability, according to the Tourism Administration's Deputy Director-General Lin Hsin-jen (林信任).
A Malaysian tourist praised the tour bus packages, noting that every attraction is covered, translations are provided inside the bus, and favorable pricing is offered.
Manager Teng (鄧) of a travel agency emphasized that tours can commence with just four people, regardless of time and location. They even offer door-to-door pick-up services for those along the route.
Since January, the Tourism Administration has offered a 90% discount on the Taiwan Tour Bus in the Hualien area, with a 30% discount available from May 19 to the end of October. They have since guided several operators to launch 77 package tours.
Following the end of the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday, pairing the tour bus with the Lantern Festival (元宵節) allows tourists to experience Taiwan's beauty effortlessly.
