The duo defeated fellow Taiwanese players Lee Jhe-huei (李哲輝) and Yang Po-hsuan (楊博軒) in a thrilling 2-1 comeback.
The match began with friendly exchanges between the players, with no sign of tension on the court. However, the atmosphere changed as the game progressed. Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin managed to turn the tables, with Wang's consistent performance in the second set being crucial to their victory. In an interview with the Central News Agency (CNA, 中央社), Lee Yang expressed his joy at returning to the international stage for the last time. He emphasized that he wanted to end his international career happily, free from pressure.
