TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — A Scoot airline plane was filled with smoke from a power bank that caught fire before take-off on Tuesday (Jan. 10) evening.
The Singaporean airline aircraft was already on the runway from Taoyuan International Airport to Singapore when people started to notice the smoke.
A passenger said he heard a small "boom" coming from the middle of the aircraft.
The cabin crew quickly extinguished the fire. But one passenger burnt his hands, another injured her head, and six passengers refused to board back on the plane.
The airline rescheduled the flight to Wednesday (Jan. 11), affecting 189 passengers.
