TAIPEI (TVBS News) — President Tsai Ing-wen received representatives of the winners of the 2023 Yuan Ye Awards on Monday (Feb. 5), expressing that the government will continue to promote vital construction projects in collaboration with local governments.
President Tsai also expressed hopes for a stronger collaboration between private enterprises and the government to drive Taiwan's architectural progress and development.
She further acknowledged the winning projects for showcasing the diverse and robust strength of Taiwan's architectural design, which she said has a positive impact on the architectural landscape and the urban-rural scenery in Taiwan.
The president underscored that the winning entries have brought a positive outlook to the country's architectural landscape and urban-rural aesthetics.
The Yuan Ye Awards, with a history of nearly 30 years, uphold Taiwan's unique architectural products and landscape designs through a stringent judging mechanism. It is a prestigious honor pursued by county and city governments, and private enterprises.
